MDTS (Defensive Tactics)
The Monadnock Defensive Tactics System represents a platform designed to ensure greater individual safety/survivor confidence, from which other essential skills can be more easily learned. Such skills can include, but are not limited to: Aerosol OC use, Baton, or Firearm defense/weapons retention skills. to ensure greater individual safety/survival confidence.
Course Overview
The Monadnock Defensive Tactics System represents a platform designed to ensure greater individual safety/survivor confidence, from which other essential skills can be more easily learned. Such skills can include, but are not limited to: Aerosol OC use, Baton, or Firearm defense/weapons retention skills. to ensure greater individual safety/survival confidence.
Note: The student should be able to get up and down from standing, kneeling, and prone positions, as well as move forward, backward, and laterally. While the course is not intended to be overly-physical, a student’s level of physical fitness can impact quality of experience.

- Active Defensive Skills
- Firearms Retention Skills
- Escort Techniques
- Takedowns and Locks
- Handcuffing (1 and 2 Person)
Students will be required to demonstrate the minimum acceptable performance standards for each skill presented, as well as basic knowledge of the material in order to attain certification.
