ASP Defender OC Spray Certification

The ASP Defender OC course is designed to equip law enforcement/security professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively and safely use OC (pepper spray) in the field. This course aims to enhance officer safety and ensure proper use of force in various situations.

This course is available only for law enforcement, military, security, and corrections personnel.

Course Overview

The program teaches OC portation (carrying) and presentation (drawing) procedures, as well as transitions to baton strikes, restraint application, and flashlight techniques. The ASP training program is based on modern, court defensible police standards for use of less lethal force.

ASP Basic Certification is a participatory seminar. Officers must pass a written examination and a physical performance test.
